The series of paintings with the title “Siva Boja” endeavour to document a “colourful black”. The book design underlines the concept and character of the artist’s work. Each painting is contrasted with colour dots representing the colour pigments used. Explanations, captions and pagination have been deliberately omitted. The book index gives information about the pigments.
For the cover, the grey back of the cardboard has been turned inside out, referring to the Serbo-Croatian title of the book, "Siva Boja", meaning "grey colour”.
