How can you portray a city and its history from a public view?
“Erzähl uns Linz” is an experimental exhibition, which is based on the participation of the public. Inhabitants and people in relation to the city of Linz were asked to bring in objects and their correlating stories to generate a collective and vivid memory of the city. The objects were presented in relation to the city’s history.
At the opening the exhibition was almost empty. For the duration of the show, the exhibition was successfully filled with about 700 items. A space for dialogue, curiosity and memories evolved. We designed the presentation of the stories and historical events with a clear visual language, accessible to a broad audience of all generations.
